Have HepC, Diabetic Neuropathy. Pain Seems Contraindicated For HCV. Tylenol Does Not Help. Suggestions?
I have HepC. I also have diabetic neuropathy. The treatment for pain seems contraindicated for HCV. Are there any potent pain relief medications that do not harm the liver? Right now I am taking Tylenol 3 with codeine 2x/day under a doctor's supervision. But it seems to work less and less effectively. She was going to prescribe Tramadol but decided it would not be good for the liver. Please help if you can! F. John Paul
The only option available is Paracetamol. But it is not helping you much is reducing the pain.
Paracetamol to a maximum of 3 gms is recommended to Chronic hepatitis patients. So increasing the dose of Paracetamol is the only medical option available for you.
