As for surgery he says it is HIGH RISK CASE.I have been asked to undergo CARDIAC STATUS, TO BE EVALUSTED, PULMONORY STATUSTO BE EVALUATED Please let m e know if i can avoid Surgery. As such i have no BP SUGAR OR ANY HEART PROBLEM Thanks R.Suryanarayanan
Hello Mr. Suryanarayanan and thank u for posting on HCM. If the inguinal hernia is large none of the non surgical options may be helpful, you have been asked to get cardio pulmonary status evaluated as it involves GA for surgery (as it is a large hernia) - though you do not have any underlying medical issues. Basically this will involve checking BP, ECG, heart & lung examination + chest XR as age itself is considered to be high risk for GA. If you are otherwise fairly fit & healthy you will pass the above tests without any concerns. All the best & hope you recover soon.
