Hi..doctor; My name is Francisco,I have Poland syndrome but my anamaly is in my leftside of my chest,Ive been working for 28 years, I work thru out my life with chest pain ,also my left hand was affected,I don t take medication for pain,I work thru the pain...im afraid I wont provide for my family if I loose my job,Im a custodian, I don t want surgery..im happy the way I was born,god made me this way...what could u suggest for me,,can I collect disability?..please help..thank you..
Sorry to hear about your problem. Poland's syndrome is a congenital disorder in which there is improper development of the chest wall on one side and this can lead to cosmetic as well as functional problems. The only solution to this problem is surgery. You can claim compensation but they would also offer you to undergo treatment.
