Have A Mass On Lower Jaw. Suspects Cancer, Result Awaited. How Can It Be Treated?

Hi my son has a mass on his lower jaw bone, it is hot to touch and the doctor Suspects Cancer he has had all the tests and we are awaiting results however his doctor seems certain that its in the bone what is the treatment should these results be positive my son is 32yrs old.Otherwise healthy we are very anxious about this.

Thanks for your query.
Mass in the lower jaw bone may be cancerous usually squamous cell carcinoma. Since it is hot to touch it may be benign/ non cancerous lesion.
The treatment of cancerous mass depends on the stage of the disease, usually ranging from surgical resection to chemo/radiotherapy or all the three combined.
Don't loose hope.....let the biopsy report come....
