Have A Red Bump On The Tonsils. Had A Swollen Gland. Difficult In Swallowing, Turning Neck. Treatment?
I just noticed a few days ago that it had felt like I had something in the back of my throat. I opened my mouth and notice a red bump on my tonsils.... Never had this before. The week before I had bad swollen glands, and now I noticed this on my left side of tonsils, size of a pea. But it's so annoying, every time I swallow I feel it, or when I turn my neck I feel it!! What could it be?? Please help, I think I'll call a doctor tomorrow.
Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Your tonsils are inflamed causing tonsillitis. Tonsillectomy has to be done as per ENT specialist's advice. Gargle frequently using warm saline or betadine. Avoid intake of too cold/spicy foods. Take complete course of antibiotics. Also check whether your impacted wisdom tooth is inflamed or not. If present, please do visit a dentist and get the treatment required. Hope this helps.
