Have Anal Itching. Took Zental. Right Medication?
This is for my son i am writing..He is suffering from Anal itiching (worm infection) for the last two weeks. we have given 'Zentel' 10 ml last week. Since itching persists we repeated the dose yesterday 5 ml. Still itching persists. May i know the reason for this and also what we can do for this? especially to avoid this infection in the future.

Hi,
You have given proper medicine for worm infestation and anal itching is common in worm infestation.
First dose you gave was right but after a week you might have given full 10 ml dose instead of 5 ml.
Nothing to worry, after 15 days you give full dose of 10 ml.
Anal itching will remain for few days more till all worms pass away or killed.
Keep nails of your son clean and well cut in time.
