Have Arthritis, Cholesterol Level High. Taking Tylenol. Done Kidney Tests. What Is The Solution?
I recently had lab work done to check levels for Cholesterol and chemistry profile. My kidney function tests are a bit worse than than previously. He said to stop the Mobic and change to Arthritis strength Tylenol 3-4 times a day as needed for my arthritis. I'm not familiar with Mobic term. What is Mobic? I do not find this name on any of my medications. Please advise.
Mobic contains meloxicam which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug used generally as pain killer. It may have some ill effect on patients who have kidney malfunction. This might be the reason, your doctor told to stop it. It may cause kidney damage when used inadvertently and for long term in some individuals.
