Have Been On Percocet, Muscle Relaxer, Morphine, Feeling Shortness Of Breath. Reason?
hello I have been on perocet , muscle relaxer , then morphine extend tab 5mg noticed alittle difference in myself for 1 month then it was increased to two with in a week I continued to feel short of breath and like chest closing up. figured it had to be the morphine call doctor left message and stopped it. still feeling short of breathe. How long does this feeling last? Doctor would not get back with me?I am short on money an am a older nurse but, never the pleasure of cervical spinal steno sis and severe pain that even the morphine did not help but now I have this to deal with.
good that your doctor took you off morphine- the effects will soon wear away if it was the cause but by the way make sure you have no additional chest/lung problem or allergy or previous bronchitis etc. All now is you wait for 2-3days and if breathing is still heavy or suffocating see doc in ER.Tramadol is a good non-opioid analgesic which you may take after consultation with your doctors or ER
