Have Crowns Causing Problems, Fell Out, Needs Post Care, Gum Has Periodontal Disease. What Can Help?

hello,
i need alot of major dental work and is in need of emergency care. I have 2 crowns causing problems. 1 fell out and needs a post core build up and crown or implant. the other one is already to be redone as the gum is causing periodontal disease. as I have a primary dentist who already examed me a while back last year . the thing is that i dont have any money or funds to pay for the service fees and need this work done asap. care credit has ran my credit and it is not good because of a few things and one being is a bankrupty. i have tried to get a personal loan but that was also not approved. it will cost around 3,ooo and need asistance and can make monthly payment with some other source than care credit plan which is the main one most of the dental offices use that I have researhed. can you give me some ideas or let me know how you can assist me here. thanks ken mcquilkin

Hi ther
Thanks for asking your query
Your history provided shows you need a proper dental treatment asap to save tooth structure because further delay may lead to extraction of crowned teeth
Once crown get loose or secondary infection develops around it then whole treatment has to be re evaluated by xray examination and clinical,if the canals are re infected then root canal has to be revised
All this dental treatment procedure will cost you again for this you have to talk to your dentist to give you some discount or allow you to pay the bills on installment, but it all depends on your dentist choice you have to talk to him for this concern
Meanwhile maintain good oral hygiene as crowned tooth needs proper care.
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

The crown which has fallen down needs to be recemented,
As your gums have periodontal disease go for complete mouth scaling and polishing.
If you donot have dental insurance you can go to nearby dental school or any charitable trust where treatment can be done at reasonable prices.
At home take lukewarm saline rinses and antiseptic mouthwash gargles.

Hope this helps out.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Since the crown has fractured,it has to be replaced with a new after after eliminating underlying causes of periodontitis or pulpal infections.

Maintain oral hygiene well.

If you cannot afford the cost, you can approach dental camps or insurance companies regarding this.

Meanwhile, use soft interdental toothbrush as well as dental floss to clean your teeth.

Desensitising toothpaste as well as chlorhexidine mouthrinses has to be used to clean your oral cavity.

Hope this helps.
