Have Cystic Ovaries, Brown Discharge, Cramps, Gurgling Sensation. Prescribed Tri Sprintec Birth Control, Placebo. What Is Wrong?
Hi, I am on a prescribed tri sprintec birth control pill. I take it for three months straight but on the last week of month three I take the placebo. I have been on this for two years for ovarian cysts on the inside of my ovaries. However I made the mistake last Thursday and had sex without a condom but he did not do anything in me. I know there is the possible pre though. On the same day a few hours later I had a dark brown discharge and had a period that lasted around three or four days. Is there a chance I could still be pregnant? I also compete in running and that Friday and Saturday I raced and I still did great. I need to know if there is any possibility that I may be pregnant if all I'm getting is gas, a gurgling sensation, and small cramps not to bad though.
If you used the active pills as per the recommended guidelines they will give protection during the inactive pill usage also. So the possibility of pregnancy is less in your case. The brown discharge you are having could be due to withdrawal effect of the pill. And possibly it will turn into normal flow. After completion of inactive pills you can start the new pack as usual.
