Have Disc Degeneration, Arthritis, Bone Spur And Pinched Nerves, Stiffness, Headaches. On Percocet. What Is Wrong?
I have disc degeneration, arthritis, bone spur and 2 pinched nerves C4-C5 and C6-C7. Lately my right arm aches so bad around my shoulder and above my elbow. It is now travelling down past my elbow. I see a little bruising on my arm. My neck feels as though it is going to kink. It is so stiff. The stiffness and headaches are common. The arm aching so bad (wakes me at night) is new and has been going on for three weeks. I'm on Tylenol 3 and Percocet and baclofen. They are not helping at all. What can I do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hi, You have age related degenerative disease of spine in the form of osteophytes, disc prolapse etc. Disc prolapse is due to weakness of annulus fibrosis and disc prolapse is causing pain in your case. Treatment is physiotherapy and surgery. Long term benefits are same in both the modalities . Other modalities are ozone ablation and radiofrequency ablation I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
