Have Fibroid And Bartholin's Cyst. Safe To Prolong Surgery? Stomach Growing, Weakening Bladder, Heavy Periods

my question is that I was suppose to have a melon size fibroid and possibility a hysterectomy done in May. Had to postpone till around November 2013 and have a very large Bartilion cyst drained also, my question is, is it safe to prolong my surgery I have noticed the cyst is getting larger and also because my menstrual cycle is getting heavier and my back is beginning to bother me a lot as well as my bladder is a little weaker and I look five months pregnant. I am 47 years old.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

Better to undergo surgery early, because you are having symptomatic fibroids.
If you postpone further the severity of the symptoms can increase.
If there no option to you other than postponing, then:
-You undergo drainage of bartholin cyst first.
-Take hormonal pills to decrease the size of the fibroid.
-Take symptomatic treatment till surgery.
