I ve been to a foot dr. and I ve had topical trmts, exercises, over many months now. My foot seems to only go down staying totally off of it. When I get up and start walking in arch supported shoes, it still swells. I am using Birkenstock sandals at all times because earlier diagnosis of plantar faciitis I did have some tendonitis related to that during exercising and topical. I ve been in a soft cast for a week and it still swelled. He tends to believe that it is lymphatic related to me taking chemo since last Sept. It aches at times up into my shin and inner lower leg. Mostly it just is puffy across the top right outer part of my right foot and tenderly sore, more now than when I saw him in April. Due to see him in 6 mo (Oct). Trying herbal lymphatic tonic in my water, drinking mineral water with calcium and magnesium , but low sodium . Both sides of my ankle are swollen along with the top. With that at times feels like under the ball of my foot, it feels like I m walking on a knot. Any suggestions. I do ice it occasionally. Temporary eases it. My cancer has stabilized and 3 wks ago they took me off yet another dose of chemo. I only take Herceptin now once every 3 wks and a chemo pill daily. I hope to return to my postal job soon, but the foot issue is keeping me from exercising to loose weight like I want, and need, but I then develop major heel pain in my feet from the pf. I am anxious to get rid of this, but it feels like at times I have maybe a stress fracture or something. He said it showed nothing.?????? Just tendonitis and plantar faciitus. At times, but rarely, I have some aches in the outer lower right leg. I did read something the other day I bookmarked of a condition that can be related to the tendonitis and pf. Had to do with medial? I fingered from my inner ankle swelling up to the calf tracing for sensitivity or soreness where the muscle attaches. I did notice that area was sore also in to where I have the shin pain. Anything I should try other than everything I ve already done. He said the MRI reflected what we ve been treating already with no change much. For a short period the herbal did seem to lessen the amount of swelling but hasn t disappeared. I have researched over and over.
