Have Hard Knot On Foot. Painful, Not Mobile And Hurts When Anything Touches It. Suggest?

I have a knot on the outside of my right foot about half between my little to and ankle, it is a little larger than a pea, hard as a rock and cannot be moved, it has become increasing painful, even without shoes on. It hurts if anything touches it. What do you thinks it could be? And what kind of doctor do I need to see. An Ortho or Foot dr?

Radiologist 's  Response
could be an inflammatory nodule or a small bony outgrowth
however it can also be a Uric acid deposit
a plain X-ray would be helpful to clear the origin and type of the swelling
further consulting a Ortho may help
