Have Headache And Neck Pain. Diagnosed As Degenerative Changes And Straightening Of Cervical Spine. Suggestions?
Hi, Thank you for posting your query. First of all, I would like to reassure you that the CT scan findings do not represent any serious illness. The findings are suggestive of mild degenerative changes and mild disc bulgings in the cervical region. As a result, the nerves that emerge in the neck, may get slightly compressed, resulting in pain and spasm of muscles. Treatment at this stage would consist of physiotherapy, and medications such as pregabalin or gabapentin. Wishing you good health, Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology) Senior Consultsnt Neurologist
