Have High BP. Have Bursitis, Took Meloxican And Now Taking Losartan And Cozaarand Atenolol. What Should Be Done?

Hello, I contacted my phy by telephone, I have bursitis and have taken Meloxican 15 mg, 1 X daily. called my phy because it helps the bursitis inflammation, but increases my b/p.
I thought she would be calling in a different type of med for the bursitis, but instead I have 2 meds - Losartan Pot 50 mg, generic for cozaarand atenolol 252 mg, both tabs daily.
I am a little confused about taking 2 more meds for my b/p. I already take benazepril/hctz tab 20 l daily.
I should probably wait until am and contact her again, or do you suggest I take the Meloxican and both of these additional b/p meds?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is understandable to be concerned about the addition of two medications.
If your blood pressure was controlled prior to the use of the meloxicam then it is possible that after the bursitis has resolved and the need for analgesics has decreased that there may be a corresponding decrease in your blood pressure.

In the mean time it would be best to maintain the blood pressure as close as possible to normal range by taking the additional medication prescribed. It is important to remember that the risk of heart disease and stroke doubles with each increase of 20/10 mmHg above 115/75.

I hope this helps and you feel better soon
