Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Have High BP, Checking BP Continuously, BP Varying
I check my bp obsessively since I was diagnosed with HBP. I wa put on meds but went on a strict diet and lost 20lbs. It was 150/100 on average and since losin the weight I was taken off and my BP was 110/70. Lately since I have gained 10lbs back it s back up. However if I may on my left side for 2-3 mins and check again it goes way down. I m so scared!
Thanks for your concerns. Blood pressure variability is normal during the day; as you mention some maneuvers, including lateral positioning of the body and laying down can have an effect on blood pressure. Most of the time your blood pressure should be less than 140/90, I would recommend you to lose the 10 lbs you gained and continue to monitor BP.
