Have Mole On Chest, Above Right Breast, Redness, Soreness, Took Antibiotic, No Relief.
Hi, I have a mole on my chest, right above my right breast. Have had it for years. I m a 57 year old female. All the sudden about 2 weeks ago, the mole got a red circle around it that feel a little feverish. but not sore to the touch the 1st day. Thought my necklace had scratced it in my sleep. The next day red even bigger, the size of a quarter around the mole. Now VERY tender to the touch, I then thought maybe in fection, took ONE antibotic for 3 days that I had at home. Sorness and redness went away. One week later, soreness and redness are back. Do moles get infections? It s a Brown mole
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Since mole from many years and swelling and pain may be due to . 1 Infection due to blunt injury there develop inflammation in it , that's why it turned red . 2 Cancer as this is from many years and changed its structure and turned into cancer cells . Diagnosis can be confirmed by excision biopsy . Consult a surgeon and get its excisional biopsy . In my opinion only option is biopsy , so consult a surgeon. Good luck. Dr. HET
