Have Nausea And Vomiting. Stomach Biopsy And H-pylori Is Fine. Reason?
I am 54 year old woman, I suffer from daily nausea with dry heaves and at times violent episodes of vomiting . My h-pylori is within normal values, and a stomach biopsy revealed nothing. what could be causing this problem???? Brushing my teeth is a sure fire way to start the dry heaves, as well as chewing gum????? help
Hi and thanks for your question,
regular vommiting of this nature requires a careful evaluation. It would be note while knowing whether this is the first time you are experiencing this or not, the timing of the day, the duration, associated and relieving factors.
Gastrointestinal causes are the commonest causes of vomiting. How
ever, other diseases of the nervous system and drugs can also be responsible.
Consulting a gastroenterologist is a good idea for a proper clinical evaluation. Endoscopic exams and other blood tests could actually help in making a clear diagnosis.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
