Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

I understand that you are facing problem with your wisdom tooth. Have you taken a full mouth xray or OPG? Please visit a dentist who will advise you to get a OPG .With OPG it will easier to make a diagnosis after your clinical examination.Meanwhile you need to start with antibiotics and painkiller.
There is possibility that numbness is because of periapical abscess or cyst compressing the nerve, hence visit a dentist who will advise you the best time to get your tooth extracted.

Take Care

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain and swelling is due to the impacted wisdom tooth present.
please do visit your dentist and get a thorough clinical and x-ray examination done.
Depending on the position of tooth and space available for tooth eruption,it has to be either extracted or flap overlying tooth has to be removed to enhance tooth eruption.
Meanwhile warm saline gargle can relieve pain temporarily.
Take medicines after consulting with your dentist.
Take care.

I would like to tell you that pain in wisdom teeth can be due to deep caries or it can be impacted tooth. To get it extracted first you need to get an IOPAR done of associated tooth.
Complete the course of antibiotic zanclav-625 twice a day along with diclomol thrice a day for 3 days. After completion of antibiotic course you can go for extraction.

Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
Make an appointment with your dentist if you experience constant or severe pain. Severe pain, or pain that doesn't subside after a few days, may indicate a serious problem that your dentist needs to be aware of.
Try chewing gum on the side where you're experiencing pain. Chewing gum will gently massage the painful area and may offer some temporary relief
Try a warm saltwater rinse. Warm saltwater will help ease moderate wisdom tooth pain without the use of medications.
yes, you need to wait until numbness are gone
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.

Hello there ,

Thanks for writing your query,

Wisdom tooth is the last tooth to erupt in the oral cavity and often its eruption is associated with symptoms like pain and discomfort in eating , difficulty in opening mouth , swelling in the jaws and cheek bite.

wisdom teeth are often tilted in position and impacted in the bone , gums overlying the tooth usually undergoes inflammation known as pericoronitis .

The tilted position of the tooth leads to entrapment of the cheek mucosa in between the teeth during biting and may lead to numbness..

i would suggest you to go for symptomatic treatment at home like gargling with lukewarm saline water or antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine or betadine.

i would suggest you to start with a antibiotic and analgesic course consulting your dentist , which helps in subsiding the symtpoms.

You may need to get an OPG radiograph done for you which will show the exact position of the tooth, consult a dentist and get the tooth extracted surgically.

i hope this helps ,

take care.
