HI,
I can think of Vitamin D deffisiensy as a cause of the pain in chest on exertion. Vit D & Calcium when are deffesient, make the ribs weaker, & any pull/push ocuring with contraction of inter costal muscles create stress & pain in under lying rib .
- You can get it confirmed by blood check up
- Once deffisiensy is confirmed, instead of pain killers you should go for calcium & vitamin D supplements.
- Physical exercises for chest muscles help by improving chest muscles as well as chest bones.
Thanks.
