Have Pain In The Abdominal Area. Feeling A Lot Hungry, Weak, Hard To Breathe. Suggestions?
I have a sharp stabbing pain right above my belly button but below my chest bone. It feels like I'm extremely hungry but I have eaten food to satisfy that, and it wont go away! I feel very weak. The pains come in waves, and when they happen I find it almost hard to breath. The pain also radiates to my upper back. I have no idea what this could be.
It is likely that you have a stomach ulcer or maybe just an erosion. See your doctor. What to expect: Your doctor will first do an EKG to rule out a heart problems as it can rarely present as abdominal pain. If you are over 50 years of age, your doctor will suggest an endoscopy ie putting a tube down your throat and taking pictures of your stomach. He will then treat you accordingly. If you are less than 50, your doctor will start you on an anti acid drug like Nexium. and follow you up for the next 2 weeks. He will also recommend dietary changes and habits that you may have that could exacerbate your problem.
