A big candle (in a glass pot) fell on my wrist this afternoon and hit my joint under my thumb. After the hit it began to get swollen and became very painful. My mom put hot and cold cream on the area and wrapped it with a roll of elastic bandage. I can move my fingers but when I move my thumb it's really painful, especially when I try to push my thumb down. I feel like theres air trapped in my wrist and is travelling up the side of my arm above the place that got hit. When I move my wrist it become very painful and when the hit first happened the place became very hot and I feel like there were pulses at the area. My mom says I don't need to go to the er but my wrist really hurt and I can't move my hand/arm without being painful (like turning or flexing). I also can't hold anything because my hand doesn't have any energy. Please help! Is it a sprain or fracture or broken? And should I go to the er?? Thank you! I'm in high school fyi
