Have Painful Bump On Elbow. No Swelling. Treatment?
I have a small bump that appears to be attached to the bone itself. I notice it when I put my elbow down because it is extremely painful. I noticed it has gotten a little bit bigger and more painful. Thought it could be a bone spur but it doesn't sound like it from what I read . No swelling, no discoloration and not on a joint.. It's on the very tip of the bone. Today it even hurt when my shirt touched it. It's so very small I can't believe how much pain I am in. I have no pain with use of the elbow, only if its touched or if I forget and lean my elbow on something. Was gonna try and see a doctor next week. I have had it for about a year now. Nothing makes it better or worse. Any suggestions?
From what you say, we are dealing with a small ?bony growth which is now painful even to touch. It has been for a year now and slowly growing.
In all possibilities we might be dealing with a slowly growing benign lesion. However, due to recent development of pain it certainly needs to be confirmed by X ray. Please consult an orthopedic surgeon and take his advise for required X ray.
Hope it helps.
