Have Purple Foot After Running For A Short Distance. Have Severe Plantat Fasciitis. What To Do?
I believe I have a severe case of plantar fasciitis because after running a half marathon my foot turned purple just in front of my heel on my arch. I've read what I can find about plantar fasciitis but haven't found anything that specifically mentions a purple foot except for one writer who said he had a purple foot. Anything else I need to be concerned about other than what's written about plantar fasciitis?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The purple coloration of the foot after running is suggestive of a compromised blood supply in the area. The tight plantar fascia can cause such symptoms. You need to have a proper treatment after a direct examination by orthopedician. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
