Have Scanty Period. Underwent D And C. Why Is The Flow Reduced?

Gd eve Dr.I underwent a D&C in Jan. During d USG last week my ET on the 13th day was just 6.2. Now my menstrual flow is also very scanty.am taking Ovisterone as d AMH was 0.87. My mother had got her menopause at 33.am 30 yrs old presently. What could be the reason for reduced flow. Also hav multiple fibroids on the outer wall of uterus.

Hi,
Reduced menstrual flow can have several reasons; it could be constitutional, since you said your mother had attained early menopause, you could be well into that; your endometrial thickness is below average and this depicts a suppressed hormonal state; endometrial adhesions that reduce the effective surface as well as infections can also be the cause of a decreased flow. Fibroids do not cause reduced blood flow, in fact, they are usually associated with heavy periods. Hope you find this information helpful. Take care.
