Have Severe Nerve Pain In Fingers, Forearms And Legs With Tightness Caused By Herniated Disk. Why Is There Swelling?
I have severe nerve pain in both pinky and ring fingers on both hands after ACDF surgery. Pain goes up in to my right forearm. Alsi have noticed my right leg feels very loose and left leg very tight. The main nerve to my legs was pinned to my spine by the herniated disk. Disk was replaced by cadavor bone and steel cage put around 2 other disk. Its been a year and a half since surgery and pain seems to be getting worst. Feels like the nerves are on the outside of my pinky and ring fingers also the right side of my left palm swells up where i can barely close my hand.
hi there there seems to be two reasons why this may happen
1. u have either deveoped a fresh proble, 2. the nerves are still recovering from the last compression
what you can do is the follows a. continue with the lumbar and cervical exrecises as prescribed by a physiotherapist b. start tab pregabalin, 75 mg at bed time at first, which can be increased to twice daily if tolerated c. tab methycobal twice a day tab evion 200 once daily
if this does not help and u continue to have swelling, get a doppler of the affected limb to rule out a vascular involvement
