Have Sore Throat. No Fever. Yellowish Blisters In Back Of Throat. What Is It?

Hi,
I have had a sore throat for over a week. I have not had a fever. There were several small, yellowish blisters in the back of my throat (not as many now). Although there are not as many actual blister-like spots, you can now visibly see the veins in the back of my throat. I also seem to have a small sore on the roof of my mouth. I have also been experiencing a lot of drainage. What is this? And, what would you recommend?

Hi,

It means that your throat has got infected and needs proper treatment. I would suggest to :

- start antibiotic therapy

- use throat spray containing iodine

- do some "gargar" with water and salt

- i usually recommend to use 1 tablespoon olive oil and honey in the morning for sore throat

- get plenty of water

- use some anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen

If no results, discuss with your doctor to do a throat culture for antibiotic sensitivity.

Hope it helped!
