Have Sprained Ankle, Hard Lump, Lump Not Getting Smaller In Size. How To Get Rid Of Hard Lump?
I sprained my ankle about 9 weeks ago. I have full range of motion and do not experience much pain. I haven't tried exercising much to prevent further injury, but I have had a rather hard lump that beginning from the outside ankle across the front of my foot. it is not painful, but I have not seen a reduction in size since I got the injury. Most of the swelling has subsided. I think it may be scar tissue but I wanted to know what I could get rid of the hard lump.
There is possibility of tendon rupture and hematoma formation . I will advise you to do MRI ankle and if required it can be aspirated. Till time take rest for few days, keep foot clean. If you suspect any infection then it is better to give antibiotic cover.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
