Have Swollen Lymph Nodes Near Groin And Hard Abscess On Shaft. Treatment?
I have swelling of the lymph nodes next to my groin , as well as slight discoloration. Along with this, there is a hard abscess on my shaft. I have only slept with one girl and I have been with her for two years, so I m highly skeptical that it is an STD .. I have tried to bust the abscess but it will not. At the very least it only releases less than a drop of clear fluid.
The swollen lymph node in your groin is due to the abscess on your shaft. This abscess could be a sexually transmitted infection and that can only be confirmed after a visiting a dermatologist. Kindly visit a dermatologist as early as possible so that an appropriate diagnosis based treatment can be started. Do not squeeze or manipulate the lesion. Just clean the area with warm saline water and apply topical antibiotic like mupirocin( this treatment is adjunctive, it is not going to treat the abscess or lymph node swelling. A course of oral antibiotic is required )
Hope that helps. Take care.
