Have Swollen Palpable Lymph Nodes In Neck. Can It Be Related To Fat Cell Collection Shown In FNAC?
good morning sir I have a palpable lymph nodes along the right side of the neck. One of the node is quite large 23 mm in size. the swelling is hard and of about 1 year duration. however I dont have any other problem. I had one swelling 10 yrs back that was diagnosed as fat cell collection on fnac. But while doing fnac the person pushed the needle ahead and it seemed to me if I had got my vessel punctured. Since then the pain increased and from a year I had this problem. the swelling increases or decreases in size. one thing I want to mention that I have slight difficulty in passing urine. I am 62 yr male.
I am so sorry to hear about this swollen lymph node. All swollen lymph nodes must be properly investigated to make sure they do not represent anything ore concerning like cancer. Also, it is very rare for fats to accumulate in a lymph node as was the case when you last had a FNAC. Please, meet and get this lymph nodes examined and the cause investigated. Only settle when you have been cleared of any concerning dangers.
For the urinary problem, it could be related to the prostate. However, I will suggest that you get evaluated too. Your primary care doctor should be able to handle all of these conditions and only refer for specialist attention if need be.
I hope you find this helpful. Thank you so much for using our services and please do feel free to ask for clarifications if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
