Having Abdominal Pain. Feeling Feverish, Heavy Stomach And Laziness. Guide?

Dear Dr. Charles S Narasi,

I am suffering from gastric problems since past one year. The main symptoms are :-
(1) Feel stretching (ANGADAI in Hindi) of whole body during night time and even during day.
(2) Abdominal Pain specially when the stomuch is empty.
(3) Sometime feel feverish while the stomuch is empty.
(4) Immediately after food maximum gas passes through mouth and from downwards.
(5) If I do not go for morning or evening walk, stomuch looks filled up and very heavy.
(6) I feel like laziness.
(7) Sometime my legs below knee looks heavy and muscle pain.

I do not have BP, I also do not have Diebeties, no any other ailment as such. But is it due to poor functioning of lever or what is the actual problem.

Kindly guide me.

Thanks and regards,

Mahender Singh

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,

the clinical syndrome you describe might deserve the attention of an internist for two main reasons. firstly, there is a general certainly inflammatory process going on that deserves to be looked into keenly. A generalized infectious process, an autoimmune immune or rheumatologic condition has to be excluded.

Changes in the general outlook could entail discarding a tumoral process. A systematic examination of the gastrointestinal system could be of immense help. Gastritis and peptic ulcer disease or important to be searched for. Stool examination and cultures, awith an abdominal ultrasound could help. A fibroscopy to visualize the upper gastrointestinal tract to exclude gastritis or peptic ulcer disease might be required.

My suggestion is you consult an internist,

Best regards,

Bain LE, MD.
