Having Dizziness On Looking Up. Suffered A Fractured Skull With Haematoma, Intercranial Blood At The Skull Vertex After An Accident. When Can He Take A Flight?

My husband had a fractured skull with a large haematoma overlying the frontol,temporal and parietal bones.And acute intercranial blood at the skull vertex that is likely the be extradural.There was also subarachnoid blood overlying the left frontol lobe. This was a year ago after a land kiting accident.He has recovered well and apart from dizziness when looking up or when he gets up from lying down is fine! Can you tell me when or if he can fly? Regards

A large fronto-temporo-parietal extradural haematoma (EDH) usually causes raised intracranial tension requiring urgent evacuation (surgery). Subarachnoid hemmorhage (SAH) are usually managed conservatively .
I suppose your case was adequately managed with proper follow up evaluation along with scans, to rule out further re-accumulation and any clinical deterioration.
Well with a dual haematoma , EDH along with SAH ,it is probable that there might be minimal neurological sequelae like dizziness. Do not have to worry much unless there is deterioration of consciousness, convulsion , vomiting or severe headache. I hope you are taking the prescribed medicines regularly.
As far as fitness for flying is concerned , do get in touch with your treating doctor .
If apart from dizziness he is fine then I dont think he has to much to be concerned about.
