Having Dry Mouth After Taking Tramadol By Splitting Into Two. How To Get Rid Of It?
I have dry mouth since I have been taking Tramadol and I have split the pill in two, which I found out I am not supposed to do, the last time I took the split pill was this morning and I have stopped taking the pill since then, now I need something to get rid of this dry mouth. I have tried Biotene and Chloraseptic with no relief, what should I try next?
HI. The dry mouth can be caused by tramadol. But this is reversible , meaning the side-effect goes away when you stop the particular medicine. If within a day or so your problem is not solved, I would consider this to be caused by another problem called stomatitis. One get dryness as the minor salivary gland in mouth are infected or inflammed and so do not keep the mouth wet. I would advice to visit an ENT Specialist to diagnose and get a proper course of antibiotics and supportive therapy.
