Having Headaches Over The Eyes. After The Headache Woken Up With Swollen Cheeks. Treatment?

I am a female, mid 50s. I have been having pretty bad headaches over the last few weeks. The headaches are mainly over my left eye, sometimes, my right eye, accompanied by mild nausea. Three times after my headache, I woke up the next day with a swollen left cheek. One time, a swollen right cheek. What does all of this mean?

Hi,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

It seems that you have migraine headache but other physical reasons like hypertension should be ruled out.

You should consult physician/neurophysician for detailed evaluation and management. Doctor may advise you to go for CAT scan to rule out physical causes.

Treatment would be directed as per cause.

Meanwhile, you may take non steroidal anti-inflammatory agents like ibuprofen to get some relief from headache.

I hope It will help you.

Thanks.
