Having Inflamed Acne. On Steroids And Roacutane. Bilurubin Level Getting High. Looking For Advice

My daughter has got severely inflammed acne since 4 weeks - she is 27 years old. Is on steroids and roacutane but her bilurubin level is getting higher. What would you advice?

Hi,
I can understand your concern for acne as well as raised Bilurubin level. Thsi is due to the roacutane tablets. It is a potential cause of raised liver enzyme. Meet her treating dermatologist at the earliest and inform about this problem.

I further suggest you to stop roacutane as it can cause further liver problems and make her shift to some safer medications for some time.
