Having Intestinal Pain. Doctors Say IBS And Depression. What To Do?

Hi I have been having intestinal pain usually first thing in the morning after I eat which has not gone away for around 18 years. I also have loose bowel movements that are offensive. I have had the coeliac test, gastroscopies, colonoscopies, anti-depressants (which cause migraine-like headaches), CT scan found some shading around the terminal ileum but the colonoscopy ruled out crohns and IBD. Doctors keep saying IBS and Depression. I don't have depression, I work in the psychiatric field so I think I know what the signs of those are. I have in the past had heavy periods but I am now going through menopause at 45. I tend to have low ferritin levels and my thyroid is borderline but not on medication. I don't know if this is related but I get flu-like aches and pains in the body occasion and dizziness but my blood tests always come back normal. I get sinus headaches but I know this is not related. I have done the lactose free diet for two weeks and know that it is lactose intolerance. I am allergic to bees and rye grass (confirmed).

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

So you are confirmed that there are no internal physical problems for your symptoms such as intestinal pain, flu like aches, dizziness etc,. Or are you going to continue ask for help to every other doctor?

You need to believe what you do. If you go to a doctor, you need to believe him that he is not going to harm your body. Otherwise no doctor can treat you successfully. Believing in your doctor itself half heals the problem. Yon cannot expect a doctor to be god,but you can believe that god will do whatever he feels right through this doctor. Believe in god and the doctor he chooses for you.

Just do this. Find a good physician once and last. Get to the point and accept his advice. You may be in the field, but as everyone you are human. We are not supposed to be thinking like doctors.let them do their duty and we do ours. You will be alright.

Wish you speedy recovery
