Having Light Spotting, Irregular Periods, Bleeding After Sex. Blood Test Negative. Is There Anything Wrong?

I have some light spotting some months, in between periods, also have bled after sex more recently and have had quite a lot more discharge (mucasy not foul) I have had a pelvic trans vaginal scan, all came back normal, i have had blood tests for hormone issues, came back normal... smear in the last year, normal... I also even went to have std tests as have a new partner, just wanted to rule everything out, all came back negative, but still i have this irregular bleeding and sometimes only sometimes bleed after sex.. I have had 2 children am 32 and other than this have always been healthy and feel healthy now other than this... in both pregnancies, i spotted a lot early on for 1st couple months.... i dont know things keep coming back ok but there must be something wrong??? otherwise i would not bleed?

Hi Dear,
You are suffering from the intermenstrual bleeding and post coital bleeding which is omnious and needs full work up.
The most common causes include as benign as endometrial polyp and genital infections and local lesions to as grave as cervical and uterine cancers.
Your ultrasound does not reveal anything.
In my view you should get a repeat Pap smear examination along with colposcopy and biopsy if required and a diagnostic hysteroscopy to rule out uterine pathology
