Having Pregnancy Symptoms, Light Periods. Negative Pregnancy Tests. Could I Still Be Pregnant?

Hello, I have a question about some pregnancy symptoms that I have had recently. I have been burping all day, especially after I eat, I have vivid dreams, they are almost like watching a movie, the girls look a little fuller and my bras are feeling tight, I have been really irritable lately over small things, and I feel like crying all the time. I missed a few birth control pills this month, and my period last week was very light spotting/brown. I have taken two pregnancy tests. One today, and one three days ago. Could I still be pregnant even though the tests have been negative?

Hi,
The possibility of conception depends on the amount of failure to take the pills properly and also the time of the cycle when they were missed. Home pregnancy tests cannot always be conclusive. You should go for the blood pregnancy test, i.e., serum beta-hCG estimation as it is very sensitive and specific. This will give you definite conclusion. You can also get a trans-vaginal sonogram for further clarity. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
