Headache, Visual Disturbances, Pain Increases While Swallowing. Had Miscarriage. Any Ideas?

I have never been a "headache person" but for the last three weeks, ever since an early miscarriage at week 6, I have had EXCRUCIATING headaches every day. It doesn't let up. I've also had visual disturbances; flashes and little patterns. The pain is predominantly on one side and in the back, and it increases when I swallow.

Hello,

Your headaches could be suggestive of Migraine with Aura. But the severity of your headache is a cause for concern. Given the backdrop of your history its important to rule out Cerebral Venous Thrombosis and few other serious causes of Headache. An MRI of the Brain will help in the regard. Please consult a Neurologist or your family doctor for the same.

Hope this helps.
