Hearing Heartbeat In Ear, Blocked Ears, Ear Pain When Blowing Nose, Dizziness. Earlier Had Cold. Should I See A Doctor?

I can hear my hear beat in my ear on occassions, suffer from blocked ears regularly and my ears hurt when I blow my nose. Sometimes get very dizzy. Always used ot wear earplugs but now it hurts to put them in - like a sore vacuum behind the earplugs. This has all happened after a really bad cold which did cause blocked ears and earache. Also my pulse rate is very high - always over 90 sometimes up to 120 at rest. Should I see my doctor.

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I had understand your query very well and as you said that you have common cold, ear are blocked and becomes painful on blowing nose. This indicates that you are suffering from acute respiratory tract infection involving nose, paranasal sinuses and throat. Further this infection from throat reaches the ear via eustachian tube.

Blocked ears are indicating about eustachian tube dysfunction.

You may take now-

1- Tab Paracetamol.

2- Decongestant and anti allergic.

3- Steam inhalation

4- Antibiotic.

I believe this will help you but if even after this treatment your symptoms persists than it will be better to consult an ENT doctor.

Regards.
