Hearing Muffling Sounds, Pressure Sensation. Had A Myringotomy Done To Ear. What Can Assist?
I had a myringotomy done to my right ear, about 4 days ago, and no tubes were put in. The myringotomy was given to me because I was hearing slightly muffled sounds and had a slight annoying pressure in my right ear. The Navy doctor said it was due to the imbalancement of pressure and cutting the ear drum was my only option. She told me that the muffled sound and pressure would be gone in a few hours and that it was perfectly normal. Here, 4 days later, there seems to be no change and it is affecting my whole way of life. Any help as to what may be going on/ if this wil get better will be greatly appreciated.
