Heart Beat High After Taking Antacid. Normalize With Sweet Things. Due To Acidity Level In Stomach?

sir when i take antacid ZANTAC or DIJEX MP at night i have to wake up in the middle on night with high heart beat and i have to take some sweet things to normalize it. when i do not take any antacid nothing happen. is this due to low acidity in stomach or high acidity? i checked my sugar level several times it is normal. Thanks sir,

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.CM. Forum.
Antacid as name indicates that it increases the level of alkalies in stomach ( acid production decreases ).
High acidity means amount of acid increases in stomach due to sweets, fried food , tension.
While antacid increases level of alkalies in stomach .
Once you take antacid alkalies increase and this causes palpitation in your body.
When you take sweets it causes acidity and you get relief .
Normal acid present in stomach and this helps in digestion of food in body.
So antacid and sweets both are not good for health.
