hi ALI
thanks for asking your query

according to your history provided if heaviness in gums means swollen gums then it can be due to multiple reasons like:
poor oral hygiene,plaque accumulation,infections( gingivitis),local irritants,dry mouth,or by vitamins deficiency

astringent is a chemical substance which is used to shrink the tissue as it absorbs the fluid from tissue, tightens tissue and dries the fat

along with astringent maintain good oral hygiene, brush twice a day, floss after evey meal, get your scaling and polishing done with deep curretage at effected area ,use vitamins supplement, gargle with warm saline water to soothen the gums, use aniseptic mouthwash.
hope this will help
thanks

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Swollen gums occurs due to poor oral hygiene, plague and calculus deposition, hormonal changes, use of certain medications, systemic disorders.

I would suggest you to continue with the use of astringent gum paint.
Go for symptomatic treatment of complete mouth scaling and polishing and curettage.
Along with this brush your teeth twice daily, use a habit of using dental floss.
Avoid eating of hat and spicy foodstuffs.
Use lukewarm saline gargles, use antiseptic mouthwash gargles twice daily.
Avoid use of tobacco, if present.

Hope this helps out.

Dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

It shows you have gum recession.that is your root surface is getting exposed to oral environment and hence causing inflammation and pain.

your dentist has advised stolin gum astringents so that the gum can be restored to its original position by proper massage.

it is a chemical substance which is used to shrink the tissue. also it absorbs the fluid from tissue and tightens the tissue.continue with that.

Hope it helps.

Take care.

Thanks.

Hello and welcome,

The pain is due to the gingival recession causing dentinal sensitivity.
Get the exposed tooth portion covered with tooth coloured restorative material.
Tissue grafting has to be done if rEquired.
Use soft-bristled toothbrush and brush your teeth in up-down and back-forth motion.
avoid harsh brushing methods.
Also get your teeth cleaned.
Get routine dental check-up too.
Avoid intake of veryhot/cold foods.
Take care.

Hello there ,

Thanks for writing your query,

Swelling and heaviness in the gums is the sign of gingival inflammation known as GINGIVITIS.

It is caused due poor oral hygiene ,improper brushing and flossing that leads to accumulation of bacterial plaque and calculus deep in the gum pockets and root surfaces of the teeth.

Gingivitis presents with symptoms of redness , bleeding gums , swelling , pain ,recession and sensitivity.

It needs to be treated by thorough professional deep scaling of gums and root planing of the teeth to remove all the irritants ,this will help in resolving the symptoms followed by a course of antibiotic and analgesics.

i would suggest you to go for symptomatic treatment at home like gargling with lukewarm saline water or antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine or betadine.

i hope this helps ,

take care.

Hello,
You seems to have gingival recession. This can be treated by gingival graft surgery. Consult a Periodontist at the earliest for obtaining the treatment. Stolin gum astringent is not a solution for the problem. Flap surgery with subgingival curretage would relieve the pain and heaviness in the gums.
