Heavy Pain In Hip, Inner Thigh, Leg. Lumps Near Pelvis. Need To Worry?

Hi am 29year old active female, i was training for a big swimming race and started having pain in my left hip and inner thigh, i wend to chiropractor who treated me for a micro tear in my hamstring . I swam my race and it has gotten worse. Have pain into left pelvis and sometimes down leg with a burning sensation. Went to see her again earlier this week and she ultrasounded the spot on my pelvis but told me there were some lumps i should get checked out. The next day and since then i have been in agony in pelvis, lower abdominal area and only anti inflammatories work for a while then pain comes back. I went to Gp on Wed who said I might have Hernia but have to wait for scan on Monday. Anyway today the pain was worse and the bumps i felt are now painful to the touch and abdomen swollen and have no apetite, Gp sent me to General surgeon who did an examination and told me i haven t got a hernia but must still have my scan on monday. I am in much more pain now that he had examined me. I have 2 children, i gave birth to them naturally, so no c section scars, I have had my period as normal last week although it was slightly lighter than usual. I am so confused and worried to wait until Monday incase its something more serious.

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. However I believe that there is no cause for any anxiety about your condition. You might have hemorrhage into your musculature that showed up on the ultrasound examination. If you do not have a hernia on physical examination, it is good. I am glad to hear that you are having a scan on monday. I hope all turns out well for you. Up until that time, it might be well to use your analgesics to help with the pain relief.

I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
