My wife recently had a baby, and during the pregnancy, suffered from hypertension . She is still currently taking her blood pressure medication , and though her readings are still somewhat high (average 140 s/80 s), she sporadically suffers spells where she will get a real bad headache , become lightheaded, and shakes uncontrollably due to being cold. These spells usually only last a couple of minutes, and then she is fine again. Is this caused by her blood pressure crashing down to normal levels? Note, she never sufferedfrom high blood pressure until she became pregnant.
