1. how can high levels of aso titres affect pregnancy? 2. i lost my first daughter bcoz of MSUD 6yrs ago, And my second daughter had g6pd deficiency - she is 5yrs old now. And i am 32yrs old, is it good for me to conceive after 2yrs from now? 3. Another case - the first baby has Periventricular leukomalacia? wht are the chances of the second baby being normal, and wht tests can be perform during pregnancy to have a normal baby?
Hello Thanks for your query. 1. Raised ASO titres indicate streptococcal infection and hence might complicate the pregnancy in various ways depending upon the source of infection. 2. It is better to conceive right away, as age related pregnancy complications will be ruled out. 3. You can go in for amniocentesis and specific genetic testing for MSUD and G6 pd deficiency. Periventricular leukomalacia is diagnosed postnatally. Avoiding the risk factors for PVL helps. You shoud conceive after thorough consultation with a genetic counsellor and High risk pregnancy specialist.
