Hi Anita,
The most common causes of
migraine are as follows-
-
hormonal changes
-stress
-certain food or in some cases skipping a meal
-bright lights, sounds and even certain smells
-not sleeping enough or maybe over sleeping
-physical exertion
-change in weather
-caused by medication
As you can see the causes are vast, as such you have to go out of your way, make a list and start listing things which cause your migraine attacks. After recognizing them you have to make an effort to avoid them as much as possible. Think of it as a headache diary.
Its tedious work but it beats having a headache all the time.
Vasograin, the current medication you're taking is being given to you to relieve the pain. Ask your doctor to for some preventive medications like beta blockers.
Alternative treatment that has helped some people are
acupuncture, massages and increasing vitamin intake. Whether it helps you or you want to try it out is something for you to decide.
I hope this answered your question.
