History Of Miscarriage. Taking Lonopin During Pregnancy. Risk In Stopping Injection?

I had first miscarriage most probably becoz of ignorance by doing walking and moving around too much. I am again pregnant and being administered Lonopin from 8 weeks with full bed rest. I dont feel any problem as for now, after 16 weeks now i want to quit taking injection. Is there any risk in stopping injection

Hi Ms. Amrita,
As the use of low dose aspirin in addition to heparin therapy has proven to be useful for preventing pregnancy losses, I would suggest that you continue with the medication and if possible, change over to aspirin after discussing with your consultant if you find taking the injections tedious. In addition, take as much rest as possible preferably in left lateral position, abstain form intercourse, eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and take adequate liquids. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you safe motherhood.
