Hit Larynx. Bruised Above Chest Cavity At Throat, Vocal Cord Hemorrhaged. Advised Voice Rest. Voice Box Swelling

I fell A WEEK AGO AND HIT MY LARYNX WITH THE CORNER OF A DESK. BRUISED RIGHT ABOVE THE CHEST CAVITY AT THROAT. ENT WENT DOWN WITH SCOPE AND SAID LEFT VOCAL CORD HEMMORAGED. PRESCRIBED VOICE REST UNTIL I SEE HER THIS COMMING FRIDAY. I STILL FEEL SAWELLING IN THE VOICE BOX AND WONDER IF THERE IS ANY TREATMENT TO REDUCE SWELLING IN THE CORDS? WOULD EITHER HEAT OR COLD APPLICATIONS BE OK?
